🚀 Practice TestWord is read aloud only — no spelling shown. Wrong answers get a letter-by-letter comparison and a retry. On a 2nd miss, the correct spelling is revealed, but it still has to be typed correctly before moving on.
📝 Test ModeOne attempt per word, just like a real spelling test — right or wrong, no hints, no retries. This is the only mode that feeds the Tricky Words list.
🎯 Tricky WordsGreyed out until at least one word has been missed in Test Mode. Once unlocked, it only contains the words missed on the most recent Test Mode run — great for a quick, targeted review.
Loading a new week's words
Tap "Edit this week's words" and type or paste one word per line — no sentences needed. On the next screen, a sentence is suggested for each word automatically. Review and edit any that don't fit before saving.
A few things to know
The word list and progress are saved in this browser, on this device. They'll be there next time the bookmark is opened, but won't follow to a different computer or browser.
A good order to try: Word Practice first to learn new words, then Practice Test for a warm-up, then Test Mode to check readiness, and finally Tricky Words to clean up anything missed.
The "Hear the word" and "Hear it in a sentence" buttons can be replayed as many times as needed in every mode except Test Mode's single pass.
